R.A.F.T update 03/02/2012

Well what can I say about this week? Another brilliant turn out, place was jumping, various folk coming from outside the city just to see what it’s all about. As far as I could tell, after talking with them briefly, they really enjoyed it and I hope they return.

I might be speaking out of turn here, but I don’t think the outlying communities have much in the way of recovery activities which is a shame. But if it means that they have to access funding to hire a bus every Friday to come to RAFT I really hope they get the funding – as they are more than welcome to attend RAFT.

That’s all to report this week. I’m hoping to find out about next year’s budget for RAFT in the coming week. Here’s hoping.

Au Reviour.

Excellent stuff – I think RAFT is blazing the way for what is possible in other communities and will be the inspiration for others to take the plunge with their own raft (see what I did there, plunge? raft? Oh forget it!).

Oh my good God leave the jokes up to me from now on Michaela.
“My girlfriend says she`s leaving me for betting on the horses too much, she`s at the gate and she`s off”. I think she`s mistaken.
