Addaction Sponsors Wired In to Recovery

It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that Addaction is sponsoring Wired In to Recovery. Without the support of our sponsors we would not be able to be the inspiring community that we are today. So I hope you will join with me in expressing our appreciation.

The recovery landscape in 2012 looks like a very different place to just a couple of years ago and now is the time for us all to work together to make recovery a reality for all who want it.

If all of you out there have taught me anything (and you have taught me loads) is that there are many pathways to recovery. And the more we focus on what unties us the more power we have to create change.

And now….a word from our sponsor:

“It is with great personal pleasure that Addaction has become an official supporter of the ‘Wired In to Recovery’ on-line community. This builds on the excellent relationship we already have with Wired In to Recovery.

I have no doubt that by working together, we will have an even greater chance of helping more people overcome the problems faced though their dependency. Wired In’s aim is to bring people together with the common purpose of helping themselves and others. It’s something that really chimes with our work as, at Addaction, we’ve always been about recovery.

Each of our services now has at least one ‘Recovery Champion’; someone who has been through treatment and wants to show others that recovery is something that they can do too. These champions are fundamental to the way that Addaction inspires our service users, their families, and people who are considering getting help for their problems.

It’s something that Wired In is alos doing. For a long while, I’ve been in inspired by the personal stories posted on the site. The selfless way in which people volunteer personal information, and share their own experiences and successes, is just wonderful. What’s more, these people return to the site time and time again – for no other reason than wanting to help others, and to show them that recovery is something that is achievable for all.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Wired In community members for the commitment, enthusiasm and inspiration that you bring to the recovery movement.
