Due to a major virus my computer has had to have the equivalent of open heart surgery, so soooo much stuff got wiped. Now I’m back, yay!
I can’t wait to catch up and I hope that you are all doing well/attempting to do well.
This is the New Year now, so without sounding corny it’s time to hit the programme! I am currently in rehab (still….), but am trying to make the best of it i.e. do not spend the entire day slumped in front of ‘Jeremy Kyle’ etc and then complain that you are bored and fat! Heh, just my usual misanthropic point of view.
I’m on naltrexone now, and without sounding like a poster gal for it, this really works! Doctors won’t usually prescribe it for alcoholism, or even to heroin addicts, ‘cos it is not a ‘controlled’ drug in the UK. But, if you are enthusiastic enough, and have good doctor/rehab centre then go pester! It’s not half as addictive as methadone, and it has kept me off the booze for over three months now.
Anyway more later. I wanna catch up with all your news x
Hi there – and a very Happy New Year to you,
Good to have you back on these pages.
Much more communication, now all restored x Happy new year & much thanks to Michaela x
Hey, hey, Happy New Year HGL7,
Glad to hear you kicked the old Jezza Kyle out of your life!
New year, new beginning’s, might help losing the old data from your pc.
I been on the Naltrexone for ? about 2 months I think, don’t really want to work it out, alongside Disulfiram (Ant-abuse) it seem’s to be doing the job, and there is no way I’d go back down the methadone route!
Definitely worth the hassle for anyone interested to keep on at their prescriber to do the switch, best wishes for 2012!
Don’t Give Up Giving Up!
Hi there – good to see you back on wiredin and good to see you still at rehab.
You seem to be doing great – I look forward to your blogs now you are back.
Well done!
